The Indian Cricket Team will become the first side in international cricket to play 1000 One-day internationals. They would create this massive feat during the first ODI match against West Indies to be played at Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday. Before this match, they took on South Africa in their 999 th ODI played at Newlands, Cape Town on 23 rd January 2022. As of 23 rd January 2022, they featured in 999 matches with 518 wins, 431 losses, 9 tied, and 41 no-result with a win percentage of 54.54. During these 999 matches, India posted the highest ODI total of 418 for 5 against West Indies on 8 th December 2011 at Holkar Stadium, Indore.
