IPL 2025 Match 9: Gujarat Titans Continue Their Winning Streak Against MI

  Gujarat Titans registered their opening win of IPL 2025 with a resounding 36-run win over Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 29 th March. MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to field first. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan got the team to a flying start putting pressure on Trent Boult & Deepak Chahar. Sai and Gill kept the momentum going for GT not allowing MI bowlers to settle. At the end of the first six overs, GT openers raced to 66 for 0. Hardik Pandya produced the magic dismissing GT captain Gill with a simple catch to Naman Dhir. Gill and Sudharsan added 78 runs for the opening wicket.   The second day of the 2025 IPL season saw two contrasting matches, such as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings registered wins on 23 rd March 2025. SRH vs RR (Hyderabad). RR acting captain Riyan Parag won the toss and decided to field first at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head showed intent right from the word go putting pressure. Theekshana got the breakthrough for RR getting rid of Abhishek with a sharp catch by Jaiswal. Abhishek and Head put on 45 runs for the opening wicket in quick time. Ishan Kishan continued the momentum along with Head smashing the RR bowlers all over the park.   Mumbai Indians suffered a narrow 11-run loss in the final league game of WPL 2025 against RCB played at Brabourne Stadium, CCI on 11 th March. Delhi Capitals progressed as table toppers for the third successive time. They lost to Mumbai Indians in 2023 and then RCB in the finals of the 2024 edition.   The 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League is going to start with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Gujarat Giants in the opening match to be played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 14 th February 2025.   Rajasthan Royals registered their third successive win of the tournament with a resounding win over Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 1 st April 2024. RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Trent Boult got wickets of Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir off successive deliveries to leave the hosts in trouble. Boult struck again dismissing Brevis to leave MI in deep trouble. Burger was included in the playing XI got rid of Kishan with a simple catch to Samson leaving the hosts struggling.   Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways as they registered a comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 2 nd March 2024. MI stand-in captain Nat Sciver Brunt won the toss and decided to field first. Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine struggled initially against disciplined MI bowling. Issy Wong got the breakthrough dismissing Mandhana with a good catch by Brunt.   UP Warriorz finally opened their account with a commanding win over defending Champions Mumbai Indians played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 28 th February 2024. UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to field first. Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Mathews looked cautious in the first three overs before putting pressure on UP Warriorz bowlers.
