CWG 2022 Men’s Hockey: Indian team thrash Canada
The Indian men’s hockey team came from the disappointment of a 4-4 draw against England provided a dominating display against Canada in their 3 rd Group match played at National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday. It was an aggressive start by the Indian team right from the word go putting enough pressure on the Canadian defense. After relentless attacks, India kept the pressure on the Canadian defense with successive penalty corners. Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the 7 th minute. Varun Kumar produced a stunning long pass and Amit Rohidas shot it into a goal in the 10 th minute to give India a 2-0 lead. At the end of the first quarter, India led 2-0.
