Champions Trophy 2025 SF 1: Great Performance By Indian Team

  The Indian Cricket Team defeated the Australian team in the first semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2025 played at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on 4 th March. Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bat first. Cooper Connolly opened the innings along with Travis Head. Mohammad Shami dropped a tough chance of the very first delivery of the match. Hardik Pandya and Shami kept pressure on the Australian opening batters. Shami struck a big blow dismissing Connolly with a lovely catch by KL Rahul. Travis Head showed intent against Shami and Hardik Pandya putting them under pressure. Champions Trophy 2025: Updated Australian Squad

  Australia also named their revised squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. They have been dealt big blows with Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood &Mitchell Marsh will not take part in the prestigious tournament due to injuries. Marcus Stoinis announced his retirement from One-day international cricket. Mitchell Starc who was a part of the provisional squad, will be not a part of the squad. Steve Smith will lead the side in the absence of Pat Cummins.   Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Jake Fraser McGurk, Tanveer Sangha & Spencer Johnson have been named as replacements for those five players.   Australia will be without their three key pacers including Hazlewood, Cummins & Mitchell Starc.   South Africa produced a superb performance to defeat Australia in the first semi-finals of the Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 played at Bayumeas Oval, Kuala Lumpur on 31 st January. Australian captain Lucy Hamilton won the toss and decided to bat first. It was not an ideal start for Australia as Ines McKeon was dismissed off the very ball of the match by Nini. South African team was very fortunate as Lyons got run out hitting Nini’s hand on the non-striker end. Lucy Hamilton looked impressive with some lovely shots keeping the scoreboard ticking.   The Pakistan Cricket Team registered a dominating win over Australia in the 3 rd and deciding One-day international stadium at Optus Stadium, Perth on 10 th November 2024. It was an impressive effort by the Pakistan pace bowlers including Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi& Hasnain to bundle out hosts cheaply before chasing down the target easily.   Australia held onto his nerves to survive scare of Ben Stokes brilliance on the fifth and final day of 2 nd Test match played at Lords, London on 2 July 2023. Starting on the overnight score of 114 for 4, Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes looked in good touch with some lovely shots keeping the scoreboard ticking.
