Macau Open 2025: Two Indians Qualify For The Semi-Finals
It was a good day for the Indian shuttlers as Lakshya Sen and Tharun Mannepalli registered victories to move into the semi-finals of the Super 300 Macau Open played at Macau on 1 st August 2025. Tharun Mannepalli continued his brilliant run in the tournament with an impressive win over current junior World Champion Hu Za of China. It was a closely fought affair in the initial stages of the first game as both players took alternate points. At the mid-game break, Tharun had a 11-9 lead. After the break, Tharun showed his domination to win the first game comfortably by 21-12. Hu Za began the second game on a good note taking 6-3 lead and continued his domination to take commanding 11-6 lead at the break. After the interval, it was one-way traffic by Chinese winning second game easily by 21-13.
