Orleans Masters 2021: Indian shuttlers performance in the semi-finals
It was a disappointing day for the Indian shuttlers as only one out of the 4 shuttlers made it into the finals of the Super 100 Orleans Masters played in Paris, France on Saturday. India’s challenge in the women’s singles ended as Saina Nehwal lost to lower-ranked Danish player Line Christophen of Denmark. It was a disappointing performance by the Indian who looked out of sorts. In the opening game, both players fought for each point till 9-9. The Danish took 2 points in succession to take an 11-9 lead at the interval. After the break, Line played with aggressive intent putting pressure on the Indian winning the first game by 21-17. The second game saw Saina Nehwal made a strong comeback to put the Danish player under pressure with smashes taking an 11-7 lead.
