  The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt. Nitish Kumar and Steve Taylor steadied the ship for the USA. Sam Curran dismissed Steve Taylor caught by Moeen Ali. Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 34 runs for the 2 nd wicket. It was a disciplined bowling effort by the England bowlers as they kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Sam Curran struck to dismiss Harmeet Singh. Chris Jordan became the first England bowler to grab a hat trick in the T20I format. Jordan dismissed Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, and Kenjige.   The hosts West Indies thrashed the USA to stay alive in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 played in Kensington Oval, Barbados on 22 nd June. West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for the hosts as Andre Russell dismissed Steven Taylor cheaply. Andres Gous and Nitish Kumar provided a superb start, putting some pressure on the West Indies bowling. At the end of the first six overs, the USA ended at 48 for 1. Gudakesh Motie struck after the field restrictions got rid of Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar and Gous put on 48 runs for the 2 nd wicket. West Indies bowlers kept picking wickets at regular intervals preventing USA batters from scoring runs easily. Roston Chase bowled superbly dismissing Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh. He created this feat during 2 nd One-day international against Papua New Guinea played at Al Amerat, Muscat on Thursday. PNG captain Asaad Vala won the toss and decided to field first. Jaskaran Malhotra wicket with the scoreboard reading 29 for 3. Malhotra started off cautiously taking singles and steadied the ship with Aaron Jones. Indian women crush USA in the first match of Olympic qualifiers

The Indian women’s team defeated higher ranked United States of America side by 5-1 in the first match of Olympic qualifiers played at Kalinga Stadium, Bhuvneshwar on Friday. It was an aggressive start for the Indian team in the first five minutes of game dominating the possession. In the 7 th minute, Alyssa Parker hit the shot wide off the post and India survived a scare. 3 minutes later, USA got another chance to score a goal as the shot went under the goalkeeper but could not convert. The visitors gained momentum which as another powerful shot went wide off the goal post. Lilima Minz was shown in the green card. At the end of first quarter the scores were 0-0.
