Denmark Open 2021: Indian star shuttlers shine on opening day
It was a good day for the Indian star shuttlers as they performed brilliantly at the Super 1000 Denmark Open played at Odense Park, Denmark on Tuesday. Kidambi Srikanth reached the second round easily defeating Indian counterpart Sai Praneeth in two straight games. After struggling for the past 1 year, Srikanth showed his domination winning it easily by 21-14, 21-11. He will now face the tough challenge of Kento Momota. Sameer Verma also performed brilliantly defeating K Vittisdarn of Thailand in two straight games. Sameer showed glimpses of good performances in the Thomas Cup and defeated Junior Champion with scorelines of 21-17, 21-14 to move into the 2 nd round. He will face Anders Antonsen of Denmark. After a short break, PV Sindhu returned to the court with a commanding win over N Yigit of Turkey in two straight games.
