The Indian Cricket Team produced a dominating performance in the 2 nd semi-finals of Champions Trophy 2017 played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on 15 th June. The Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Soumya Sarkar in the very 1 st over itself. Sabbir Rahman came to the crease and hit some lovely strokes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck again to dismiss Rahman for 19. Rahman and Tamim added 31 runs for the 2 nd wicket. The experienced duo of Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim took Bangladesh to 46 for 2 at the end of 10 overs. Both batsmen showed intent against the Indian bowlers and put Indian bowlers under pressure. Tamim looked confident with his stroke to complete his half-century off 62 balls while Rahim reached his fifty off 61 balls.
