Thanks to Abid Ali and Shan Masood daddy centuries, Pakistan are in a commanding position at the end of day 3 played at National Stadium, Karachi on Saturday. Starting on the overnight score of 57 for 0, Shan Masood and Abid Ali played with aggressive approach against Sri Lankan bowlers. It was an amazing batting display by both Pakistani batsmen who kept the score card ticking. Abid reached his fifty off 70 balls and continued to play the Sri Lankan bowlers on the merit. Masood also completed his half-century off 85 balls which made life tough for the visitors. Both Pakistani batsmen kept putting pressure on the two Sri Lankan spinners. It was a riveting day of play between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on the first day of the 2 nd Test match played at National Stadium, Karachi on Thursday. Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first. Abid Ali looked solid with his defensive technique. Vishwa Fernando got the early breakthrough dismissing Shan Masood with a beauty and then dismissed captain Azhar Ali with another beauty to leave Pakistan in trouble at 10 for 2. Abid Ali impressed with his attacking approach and made the batting look easy. Babar Azam survived an LBW shout which was given out by the umpire. Babar decided to review it and the umpire had to reverse his decision. Abid Ali played with confidence and showed his class.
