Super 12 Group 1: Marcus Stoinis special gives Australia a commanding win

 The Australian Cricket Team returned to winning ways as they defeated Sri Lanka in a one-sided contest played at Optus Stadium, Perth on Tuesday. Australian captain Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for the hosts as Pat Cummins got rid of Kusal Mendis with a lovely bouncer caught by Mitchell Marsh. Pathum Nissanka and Dhanajaya de Silva struggled against the pace and bounce of Australian bowlers. At the end of the first six overs, Sri Lanka scored 36 for 1. After the field restrictions, Dhanajaya de Silva and Nissanka kept the momentum going taking singles and hitting occasional boundaries.  The Indian Under 19 cricket Team showed their domination as they outplayed Australia in the 2 nd semi-finals of the World Cup played at Coolidge Cricket Stadium, Antigua, and Barbuda on Wednesday. Indian captain Yash Dhull won the toss and decided to bat first. It was a cautious start by the Indian openers as Harnoor Singh and Raghuvanshi struggled against disciplined Australian bowling. Harnoor Singh hit the first boundary. Salzmann struck Australia with a good delivery to get rid of Raghuvanshi. Harnoor Singh put some pressure on the opposition bowling. India scored 34 for 1 at the end of the first 10 overs. Harnoor Singh could not contribute many runs bowled by Nisbet leaving India in some trouble.  The Indian Under 19 continued their impressive form as they defeated Bangladesh easily in the final quarterfinals played at Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua, and Barbuda on Saturday. Indian captain Yash Dhull won the toss and decided to field first. Hangekar did not begin well with some wayward deliveries. The left-arm pacer Ravi Kumar produced a stunning delivery to get the breakthrough for India dismissing Mahifjul Islam.  The Indian Under 19 team showed their dominance as they registered a resounding win in their second Group match against Ireland played at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad, and Tobago on Wednesday. Ireland captain Tim Tector won the toss and decided to field first. The Indian team was without their captain Yash Dhull and six other players as they were tested positive. It was an aggressive start by the Indian openers as Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi put the Ireland bowlers right from the word go. They kept hitting boundaries at will making life tough for the opposition. At the end of the first 10 overs, Indian openers raced away to 68 for 0.
