 Kolkata Knight Riders began the 15 th season of Indian Premier League 2022 with a comfortable win over defending champions Chennai Super Kings played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday.   Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to field first. Umesh Yadav delivered a no-ball before producing a stunning delivery dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad without opening his account. Robin Uthappa looked in great touch putting the pressure on KKR bowlers with positive intent. Umesh dismissed Devon Conway providing a simple catch to Shreyas Iyer to leave CSK in trouble. Uthappa survived a close shot as it hit the stumps but did not dislodge the wickets. At the end of the first six overs, CSK scored 35 for 2.   Delhi Capitals registered a thrilling 5 wickets win over Chennai Super Kings in the 34 th match of IPL 2020 played at Sharjah Cricket Ground, Sharjah on Saturday. Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first. The experiment of Sam Curran did not work this time as he was dismissed by Tushar Desphande with a short ball edging and good running catch by Anrich Nortje. Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis looked in decent touch putting the Delhi Capitals bowlers under pressure. There was a collision between Rabada and Faf du Plessis, but no damage was done. At the end of the first six overs, CSK scored 39 for 1. Watson and Faf du Plessis looked composed of their stroke play. At the end of the first timeout, CSK scored 47 for 1.   The much-awaited schedule for the Dream 11 IPL 2020 has been released. After lots of speculation, defending Champions Mumbai Indians will take on Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the tournament to be played at Abu Dhabi from 19 th September. This year’s IPL was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic twice before the Indian government gave it clearance to play the prestigious tournament in the United Arab Emirates. All the matches this year would be played at 7.30 IST.
