India versus South Africa 1st ODI: South Africa seal tense win in a rain curtailed match
The South African Cricket Team showed their skills against second string Indian side in a rain-curtailed first ODI match played at Ekana International Stadium, Lucknow on Thursday. After a lot of stoppage due to rain, the match was reduced to 40 overs side. Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and decided to field first. Mohammed Siraj and Avesh Khan troubled Janneman Malan and Quinton de Kock with the pitch having seam movement. Malan survived close LBW shout given not out but on review, it was retained as not out due to umpires called. At the end of the first 8 overs, South African openers made 28 for 0. Janneman Malan was given a reprieve as Shubman Gill dropped simple chance at slips. Malan and de Kock kept the momentum going for South Africa.
