Badminton Asia Championships 2025: Indian Shuttlers Participation

  The Badminton Asia Championship 2025 will see the top Asian shuttlers taking part in the prestigious tournament starting from 8 th April in Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Ningbo. It will be a tough challenge for the Indian shuttlers as they are struggling for form this year so far. HS Prannoy, Kiran George, Pranshu Rajawat, and Lakshya Sen will be taking part in the men’s singles section. HS Prannoy will face Lu GZ of China in the first round. Lakshya Sen would take on Lee C-h of Chinese Taipei. Sen will look to prove his worth with a top-quality performance against the 2025 All England Badminton Championship silver medalists. Pranshu Rajawat will take on Wangchareon of Thailand in the first round. The women’s singles will see PV Sindhu, Malvika Bansod, Akarshi Kashyap, Anupama Upadhyaya in action.   HS Prannoy remained the only shuttler to qualify while PV Sindhu lost in the semi-finals of Super 500 Malaysia Masters played at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 27 May 2023. Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun proved their worth again as they defeated the Singapore pair of Hee Yong and Loh Kean in three games. Mithun Manjunath produced big upset as he defeated World Championship silver medallist Kidambi Srikanth in three games. Mithun showed his class with lovely shots winning first the first game by 21-17. Srikanth showed his class by making a strong comeback with 21-15 in the second game.
