BWF World Championship 2025: Memorable Day For Indian Shuttlers

  The Indian badminton contingent had a field day with all three players including PV Sindhu, Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila; Satwik/Chirag stunned their fancied opponents to enter the quarterfinals of BWF World Championship 2025 played at Paris on 28 th August 2025. The mixed doubles pairing of Dhruv Kapila & Tanisha Crasto stunned the 5 th seeded Hong Kong pair CM Tang and YS Tse in three thrilling games. It was a great start for both pairs fighting for each point. At the mid-game break, Indian pair had slender 11-10 lead. After the break, both pairs fought for each point before Kapila and Crasto committed few mistakes to give Tang and Ys Tse the first game 21-19.   The star Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu made a winning start to the BWF World Championship tournament with comphrensive wins played at Paris on 26 th August 2025. PV Sindhu survived a scare before winning her match against Bulgarian K Nalbantova in straight games. Nalbantova started off brightly putting Sindhu under pressure with smashes. At the mid-game break, Bulgarian had a 11-7 lead. After the break, Sindhu showed great resistance taking 7 points in succession. The match ebbed and flowed with Nalbantova missing easy chances to kill the game. Sindhu held onto her nerves to win the first game 23-21. Sindhu proved too strong for Nalbantova initially with 5-1 lead before her opponent fought back strongly reducing the gap at 5-6. China Open 2025 Day 2: Great Day For Indian Shuttlers

  The Indian shuttlers had a remarkable 2 nd day with PV Sindhu, Unnati Hooda and Satwik/Chirag Shetty made it into the 2 nd round of the Super 1000 China Open played at Changzhou on 23 rd July. PV Sindhu finally crossed the first round hurdle stunning world number 6 Tomoyka Miyazaki of Japan in three games. The first game saw the star Indian shuttler show intent right from the word go putting pressure on the Japanese. At the mid-game break, Sindhu had a 11-5 lead. After the break, despite Miyazaki efforts, Sindhu won the first game comfortably at 21-15. The second game began on an even keel with both players earning alternate points till 6-6.   The third Super 1000 event of the year, Indonesia Open will begin from tomorrow onwards with top Indian shuttlers looking to regain form. Lakshya Sen will face the top seed Shi Y Q in the first round. He has been struggling since losing in the bronze medal of the Paris Olympics. PV Sindhu eased past WY Zhang of Canada in two straight games. It was a dominating performance by former World champion putting the opponent under immense pressure. She won the match with a dominating scoreline of 21-14, 21-9 to move into the second round. It will be tough ask as Sindhu will face Chen Yu Fei of China. HS Prannoy stuns Rasmus Gemke in three thrilling games. It was a close fought start in the first before Prannoy showed domination putting pressure on the Danish.
