BBL 2024-25: Mitchell Owen’s Special Leads Hobart Hurricanes To First Title
Hobart Hurricanes defeated Sydney Thunder in a one-sided final played at Ninja Stadium, Belivere Oval, Hobart on 27 th January 2025. Hobart Hurricanes captain Nathan Ellis won the bat flip and decided to field first. After a quiet first over by Riley Meredith, Jason Sangha put pressure on the home team with attacking shots. Sangha and Warner showed intent keeping the scoreboard ticking with boundaries and taking singles. Both Thunder openers looked in complete control making life tough for Hurricanes bowlers.
