PV Sindhu- the Golden Girl of Indian badminton
PV Sindhu has become the golden girl of Indian badminton after Saina Nehwal. She turns 25 today and achieved a lot of medals in her international career so far. Sindhu won a gold medal in the Asian Junior Championships played at Gimcheon in 2012 in the singles category. Apart from that, she won a bronze medal in the singles and mixed team event during the 2011 edition played in Lucknow. She made her international debut in 2009. To date, Sindhu has a total career record of 326 wins and 139 losses. Apart from that, she has won so far 15 titles. Her performance has been exceptional in World Championships. In the 2013 and 2014 editions, Sindhu won a bronze medal. She bettered her performance in the 2017 edition winning the silver medal losing to Nozomi Okuhara in the 2 nd longest matches in women’s singles.
