  The defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders showed their class with a dominating win over Rajasthan Royals in match 6 of IPL 2025 played at Basapara Stadium, Guwahati on 26 th March. KKR captain Rahane won the toss and decided to field first. Sanju Samson & Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings for RR. Both looked in good touch putting pressure on KKR bowlers. Vaibhav Arora got the breakthrough dismissing Samson shattering the stumps. Jaiswal and Samson put on 33 runs for the opening wicket.  Lucknow Super Giants continued their winning momentum as they defeated Delhi Capitals in a thrilling encounter played at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on Thursday. LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to field first. Prithvi Shaw put the pressure on LSG bowlers right from word go with boundaries at will. On other hand, Warner playing his first match of this season looked out of sorts against disciplined LSG bowling. At the end of the 6 overs, Delhi Capitals made 52 for 0.   After being relived from the captaincy duties, the explosive left-handed opener Quinton de Kock showed his class during the 3-2 T20I series win over West Indies that finished on Saturday. It was amazing by the wicketkeeper-batsman who dominated the hosts bowling and gave good starts for the hosts in the entire series. In the opening match played on 27 th June at St George’s Stadium, Grenada, de Kock, and Reeza Hendricks gave a flying start adding 33 runs for the opening wicket. It was a see saw battle as honours were shared on the first day of the first Test match played between England and South Africa at Super Sport Park, Centurion on Thursday. England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to field first. The decision paid off as James Anderson got the wicket of Dean Elgar off the very 1 st ball with tickle down the leg. Aiden Markram showed his class with aggressive stroke play which put the England bowlers under pressure. Sam Curran got rid of Markram for 20. Markram and Hamza added 32 runs for the 2 nd wicket. At the end of first hour, South Africa were 39 for 2. After the drinks break, Hamza and South African captain Faf du Plessis looked compact with their defence, also hitting bad balls away for boundaries.
