Indian women versus England women one-off Test 4th Day: Lower order fightback helps India to a impossible draw
Thanks to a superb effort by Sneha Rana, Shikha Pandey and Taniya Bhatia, India pulled out a remarkable draw on the fourth and final day of the one-off Test match played at County Ground, Bristol on Saturday. Starting on the final day at 83 for 1, Shafali Verma looked confident and hit Ecclestone for a straight six. A superb catch by Katherine Brunt from a full delivery resulted in the wicket of Verma. Verma and Deepti Sharma added 70 runs for the 2 nd wicket. Punam Raut showed some intent hitting boundaries keeping the scoreboard ticking. Deepti Sharma defended brilliantly and hit the bad balls away for boundaries. Both Indian batters looked comfortable keeping the momentum going. Deepti Sharma reached her fifty off 157 balls.
