  Mumbai Indian Cape Town became the champions of SA T20 2025 with a resounding win over Sunrisers Eastern Cape played at Wanders, Johannesburg on 8 th February 2025. MICT captain Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bat first. Ryan Rickleton showed intent right from the word go putting enough pressure on Marco Jansen. On the other hand, Rassie Van der Dussen struggled with his timing. Craig Overton got the breakthrough getting rid of dangerous Ryan Rickleton with a good catch by Liam Dawson.   Under the captaincy of Rashid Khan, Mumbai Indians Cape Town began the third season of the SAT20 with a resounding win over defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape played at ST George Stadium, Port Elizabeth on 9 th January 2025. It was a dominating performance by MI Cape Town as they posted a competitive total before bundling out Sunrisers Eastern Cape cheaply. Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to field first. After losing 3 early wickets, Dewald Brevis played with aggression putting the pressure right back on Eastern Cape bowlers. He kept the momentum for Mumbai Indians with boundaries at regular intervals. Brevis smashed the first fifty off just 23 deliveries.
