Ireland Cricket Team creates history
Ireland registered their first-ever series win against a full member nation after defeating West Indies in the third and deciding ODI match played at Sabina Park, Jamaica on Sunday. Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie won the toss and decided to field first. Shai Hope provided a flying start for West Indies taking on Ireland bowlers with attacking strokes while his opening partner Greaves looked solid enough. Hope dominated the play and reached fifty off 37 balls. West Indies raced away to 69 for 0 at the end of 10 overs. It was a brilliant comeback by Ireland bowlers as Young got the breakthrough getting rid of well-set Hope. Hope and Greaves added 72 runs for the opening wicket. Ireland bowlers kept picking wickets at regular intervals putting enough pressure on West Indies batters reducing them to 119 for 7.
