The newly appointed Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson played a breath-taking innings in their opening match of IPL 2021 against Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 12 th April 2021. Chasing down a massive target of 222 runs to win, Samson came to the crease after the fall of Ben Stokes wicket. He was given a reprieve early by KL Rahul and then blasted the Punjab Kings bowlers with amazing strokes putting pressure on the opposition. Samson completed his fifty off just 33 balls.
