  The Indian women’s hockey started the Asia Cup super-4 stage with a 4-2 win over South Korea played at Guangzhou, China on 10 th September 2025. It was an ideal start for the Indian team as Phalke scored from a penalty corner in the 2 nd minute. India kept piling pressure on Korean defense despite taking an early lead. South Korean finally managed to show aggression but the Indian defence looked solid and not allowed them taking a shot. At the end of the first quarter, Indian women led 1-0. Indian team started the second quarter with aggression creating a chance with Sunita but Korean goalkeeper along with solid defence denied India the goal.   The Indian women’s team showed tremendous character to a thrilling 2-2 draw against Japan in the second Group B match at Hangzhou, China on 6 th September 2025. This was India’s first real test in the competition after thrashing Thailand 11-0 in the first match on Friday. Indian team started the match on a aggressive note with 2 circle penetrations but the Japanese defence did not allow to score goals. Japan got the first penalty corner of game but it was not allowed by the Indian defence. Murayama scored the first goal for Japan with mishit shot in the 10 th minute.   The Indian Women’s Hockey team started the 2024/25 FIH Pro Hockey League season with a thrilling win over England played at Kalinga Stadium, Bhuvneshwar on 15 th February. The first quarter began with the Indian women’s team putting pressure on the England defense. After an initial struggle, Savita Punia produced a superb save. India earned their first penalty corner of the match which was converted from a deflection by Vaishnavi in the 6th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. The England team decided to review the decision, but the goal stood. Bourne scored a superb deflection goal in the 12 th minute as England equaled the score at 1-1.   The defending champions India showed their skills with a dominating win over England in the second semi-finals of the Under 19 women’s T20 World Cup 2025 played at Bayumeas Oval, Kuala Lumpur on 31 st January. England captain Abi Norgrove won the toss and decided to bat first. It was a flying start by Davina Perin putting pressure on Indian bowlers with positive strokes.   The Indian Women’s hockey team ended the league stage with a comprehensive win over Japan at Rajgir Sports Complex, Bihar on 17 th November 2024. It was a dominating performance by the Indian team right from the word go putting enough pressure on the opponents and never allowing them a chance to make a comeback into the game. Both teams started scrappy in the first five minutes of the game. After 8 minutes, India earned their two back-to-back penalty corners. Both penalty corners were brilliantly saved by Yu Kudo.   The Indian Women’s team started the ODI series with a resounding win against White Ferns played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 24 th October 2024.   The Indian Women’s Cricket Team registered a dominating win in the first semi-finals of the 2024 Asia Cup played in Dambulla on 26 th July. Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and decided to bat first. Renuka Singh got rid of Dilara Akther after being hit a six from the previous delivery. It was a disciplined bowling effort by Indian bowlers keeping it tight and not allowing Bangladesh batters to score runs easily.  The Indian Women’s badminton team scripted history as they defeated Japan 3-2 in the semi-finals of the Asia team championship played at Shah Alam, Malaysia on 17 th February 2024. It was not an ideal start for the Indian team as PV Sindhu suffered a straight-game loss to Aya Ohori. The first game did not go well for the Indian as she lost it by 13-21. PV Sindhu showed great fighting spirit in the second game despite trailing most of the time. She equaled the scores at 20-20 before Ohori held onto her nerves to win by 22-20 giving Japan a 1-0 lead in the tie. The women’s doubles pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Tressa Jolly fought strongly to beat Nami Matsuyama and Shida in three games.  The Indian Women’s Cricket Team registered a comfortable 6-wicket win in the second Group match played at Newlands, Cape Town on 15 February 2023. West Indies captain Hayley Mathews won the toss and decided to bat first. It was not an ideal start as Mathews went cheaply with a simple catch to Richa Ghosh off Pooja Vastkar. Campbell and experienced Taylor put the bad deliveries away for boundaries as Indian fielding looked ordinary. At the end of the first six overs, the West Indies women made 27 losing just 1 wicket.
