  It was a good outing for the Indian Shuttlers as Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu moved into the second round of the Super 750 French Open played in Paris on 6 th March 2024. Kidambi Srikanth stunned Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in three grueling games. The Indian showed his class putting the opponent under immense pressure with smashes and drop shots. At the mid-game interval, Srikanth led 11-7. After the mid-game interval, it was one-way traffic for Srikanth winning the first comfortably at 21-15.  The Indian shuttlers will look to showcase their skills in front of the home crowd when they take part in the Super 750 Indian Open that will take place from 16 th January at KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. In the men’s singles, HS Prannoy will have a tough challenge taking on Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the first round. He had a disappointing outing when he was knocked out in the first round of the Malaysia Open 2024 to Anders Anotsen in straight sets. Lakshya Sen will face Pranshu Rajawat in the first round during an all-India clash. Sen lost in the first round of the Malaysia Open while Rajawat will play for the 1 st time this year.  It was a great start for Indian shuttlers on the European tour as Kidambi Srikanth and the women’s doubles pairing of Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand moved into the second round with contrasting wins in Super 750 event played at Odense, Denmark on Tuesday. Kidambi Srikanth started his campaign with a shaky 3 sets win over Na Ka Long Anus of Hong Kong. The Indian struggled initially but played some lovely smashes to put the opponent under pressure.  The top Indian shuttlers did not have a great day as Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen lost out in the first round of the prestigious Super 1000 Indonesia Open 2022 played in Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday. In an all-Indian match, Lakshya Sen suffered a shock loss to HS Prannoy in two straight games. It was a dominating performance by Prannoy winning by 21-10, 21-9 to move into the second round. Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy lost to Japan Nami Matsuyama and Shida in Group B match of Japan in two straight games.  After the Indonesia Open 2021 tournament, 7 Indian shuttlers will take part in the prestigious BWF World Tour finals starting from 1 st December 2021. PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen progressed through with good performances. In the women’s doubles category, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy made it into the prestigious tournament after some decent performances. The young Indian pairing of Satwik and Chirag made it into the top 8 as one of the Japanese opponents lost in the semi-finals of Indonesia Open 2021.
