French Open 2024 Day 2: Kidambi Srikanth, Sindhu progress, Prannoy crashes out
It was a good outing for the Indian Shuttlers as Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu moved into the second round of the Super 750 French Open played in Paris on 6 th March 2024. Kidambi Srikanth stunned Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in three grueling games. The Indian showed his class putting the opponent under immense pressure with smashes and drop shots. At the mid-game interval, Srikanth led 11-7. After the mid-game interval, it was one-way traffic for Srikanth winning the first comfortably at 21-15. The second game saw both players fighting for each point initially before Srikanth showed his class taking an 11-8 lead at the break. After the break, Chou made a strong comeback to take 3 points in succession to level it at 11-11. Both players showed their fighting spirit before Chou held onto his nerves, winning by 22-20.
