ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 Semi-finals 1: Dominating performance by Australian team
The Australian Cricket Team continued registered a dominating win over West Indies in the first semi-finals of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 played at Basin Reserve, Wellington on Wednesday. With the match reduced to 45 overs a side, West Indies Stefanie Taylor won the toss and decided to field first. It was a steady start by Australian openers Alyssa Healy and Haynes keeping the pressure back on the West Indies' bowling line-up. At the end of the first powerplay reduced to 9 overs, Australia scored 37 for 0. The Australian openers put enough pressure on the West Indies bowlers with attacking strokes and did not allow them to settle. Anisa Mohammed went off field injuring herself while fielding. Healy and Haynes put them under immense pressure. Haynes completed fifty off 66 balls while Healy reached half-century off 63 balls.
