Denmark Open 2021: Indian challenge ends
The Indian challenge ended as both PV Sindhu and Sameer Verma lost in the quarterfinals of Super 1000 Denmark Open 2021 played at Odense Park, Denmark on Friday. Sameer Verma had to retire hurt after the first game against Indonesian Tommy Suigarto. It was a good performance by Sameer who showed great skills with smashes and drops shots making life tough for the opponent. Suigarto showed intent winning the first game easily at 21-17 before Sameer withdraw from the match due to an injury. The Indian had a decent outing winning against Indian in the first round and then stunned the world number 3, Anders Antonsen, in two straight games to move into the quarterfinals.
