Women’s Asia Cup Hockey 2025 Super 4 Stage: Indian Women starts the Super 4 on a winning note
The Indian women’s hockey started the Asia Cup super-4 stage with a 4-2 win over South Korea played at Guangzhou, China on 10 th September 2025. It was an ideal start for the Indian team as Phalke scored from a penalty corner in the 2 nd minute. India kept piling pressure on Korean defense despite taking an early lead. South Korean finally managed to show aggression but the Indian defence looked solid and not allowed them taking a shot. At the end of the first quarter, Indian women led 1-0. Indian team started the second quarter with aggression creating a chance with Sunita but Korean goalkeeper along with solid defence denied India the goal. Both teams tried their best to convert goals but could not do so. At the end of first half, India still led 1-0. Sangita Kumari made a superb start for Indian team in the 3 rd quarter with superb field goal in the 33 rd minute to double the lead.
