Malaysia Open 2023 Day 2: Good day for Indian shuttlers
The Indian shuttlers had a decent day with HS Prannoy and the men’s doubles pair of Chirag and Satwiksairaj progressed into the second round of the Super 750 Malaysia Open played on 11 January 2023. The men’s section saw an all-India first-round match between HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen. It was a closely fought affair between both Indians right from the word go. Both players fought for each point in the first game before Lakshya Sen won it by 24-22. The second game saw Prannoy showing his domination before winning it easily at 21-12 to force the match into the decider. Prannoy and Sen fought for each point in deciding the game. The match ebbed and flowed before Prannoy won the decider by 21-18 to move into 2 nd round. He will now face CA Dwi Wardoyo of Indonesia who defeated HK Vittinghus in three thrilling games.
