IPL 2022 Match 54: Emphatic win for RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore produced a dominating win over lackluster Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first match of the day played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday. RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first. It was not an ideal start as Virat Kohli was dismissed off the very first ball by J Suchith caught by Williamson at short midwicket. Rajat Patidar and Faf du Plessis took some time before launching an attack on the SRH bowlers. Patidar looked in great shape making life tough for Kane Williamson. At the end of the first six overs, RCB scored 47 for 1 and ended the first timeout at 57 for a loss of 1 wicket. Patidar and du Plessis put SRH bowlers under pressure with some big shots, especially against Umran Malik taken for 20 runs in his first over. Both made life tough for SRH bowlers not allowing them to settle.
