Malaysia Masters 2025: Kidambi Srikanth Creates History
The 32-year-old Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth reached the finals of the Super 500 Malaysia Masters event played at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 24 th May 2025. Kidambi Srikanth and Yushi Tanaka were unseeded in this tournament. The first game began with Tanaka keeping the pressure on Srikanth with lovely smashes taking 4-1 lead initially. The Indian made a strong comeback showing glimpses of his old best with lovely attacking shots. At the mid-game break, Tanaka had a 11-8 lead. After the break, Srikanth showed great defensive skills and also played aggressive badminton to reduce the lead and then level the scores at 14-14. The match ebbed and flowed before Srikanth won the first game comfortably by 21-18. Tanaka began the second game on a positive note taking 4-0 lead. Kidambi Srikanth looked in deep trouble trailing with scoreline 3-9.
