Hylo Open 2022: Kidambi Srikanth qualify for the semi-finals

 The Indian shuttlers had a mixed day with only Kidambi Srikanth and the women’s doubles pair of Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand progressing into the semi-finals of the Super 300 Hylo Open played in Germany on Saturday. French Open winners Satwiksairaj and Chirag Shetty lost to Ben Lane and Sean Vendy of England in two straight games. It was a closely fought affair from both pairs before Satwik and Chirag had an 11-9 lead at the interval. After the break, Lane, and Vendy made a strong comeback with lovely shots putting the Indian pair under pressure. The England pair won the first game easily at 21-17. The second game was a closely fought start before the Indian pair committed unforced errors. At the mid-game interval, Vendy and Lane had an 11-7 lead at the interval. After the break, it was one-way traffic as the England pair won the second game easily by 21-12 to knock out the Indian pair. Hylo Open 2022: Indian shuttlers progress into quarterfinals

 The Indian shuttlers had a brilliant day most of them reached the quarterfinals stage at the Super 300 Hylo Open played in Germany on 3 rd November 2022. Satwiksaiaraj RankiReddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Rory Easton and Z Russ of England in three games. The first game was a close-fought affair as both pairs took alternate points, Easton and Russ held onto their nerves to win it by 24-22. The second game was also a close-fought start before Satwik and Chirag Shetty played aggressive badminton with smashes winning it easily by 21-15 to force the game into the decider. Satwik and Chirag looked in complete control winning nine successive points to put the England pair under immense pressure. It was a dominating performance by the Indian pair winning the third game easily at 21-11 to move into the quarterfinals. They will now face Ben Lane and S Vendy of England.
