  The Indian Men’s Hockey team draw their opening match of the Super 4 stage with a 2-2 draw over defending champions South Korea played at Rajgir Sports Complex, Rajgir on 3 rd September 2025. The hosts India began the first quarter with a penalty corner but did not yield in any goal. India put pressure on South Korea putting enough pressure before earning another PC. Harmanpreet Singh shot was well saved by Korean defence twice. Sukhjeet Singh steals from midfield before Hardik Singh solo run produced magical goal in the 8 th minute to give India 1-0 lead. South Korea was awarded a penalty stroke after review as Jugraj Singh pushed. Yang converted penalty corner into the goal in the 12 th minute to level the scores at 1-1. Hyeong Kim scored a brilliant goal via penalty corner in the 14 th minute to make it 2-1 in favour of South Korea. At the end of the first quarter, South Korea led 2-1. Hero Asia Cup Hockey 2025: Schedule Of Super 4 Stage

  The top four teams of the Hero Men’s Asia Cup hockey 2025 have been decided on 1 st September at Rajgir, Bihar. Hosts India finished top of Group A winning all there matches. They started the tournament with a thrilling 4-3 win over China, won against Japan 3-2 and then ended league thrashing Kazakhstan 15-0. China finished 2 nd in the points table with 1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw. They stretched the hosts India before losing match by 3-4, outclassed Kazakhstan with resounding 13-1 win and drew 2-2 with Japan. Both China and Japan finished on the same number of points but due to a better goal difference of plus 11, China made it into Super 4 stage. Group B saw Malaysia finishing at the top of points table. They proved too strong for their opponents winning 4-1 against Bangladesh, 4-1 against defending champions South Korea and outclassed Chinese Taipei 15-0.   The prestigious Hero Asia Cup hockey tournament is about to begin in Rajgir, Bihar from 29 th August onwards till the 7 th September. A total of 8 teams divided into 2 groups will take part in this event. Lot is at stake with the winner of Asia Cup 2025 will qualify directly for the World Cup 2025 to be held in Belgium and Netherlands. It promises to be a mouth-watering clash with the likes of South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, hosts India, China taking part in this event.   The Indian Badminton Team suffered a 2-3 loss to decide the table topper against South Korea played at Qingdao, China on 13 th February 2025. It was a disappointing start for the Indian team as the mixed doubles pairing of Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto suffered a loss in three thrilling games to KI DJ and Jeong N E. Kapil and Crasto showed domination during the first game not allowing any chance for their opponents by winning with a comfortable scoreline of 21-11.   The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean. After the initial domination, a superb pass by Arijit with a goal by Uttam Singh in the 13 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead.   The Indian Men’s Hockey Team registered a hard-fought win over South Korea in their penultimate match of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 12 th September. India attacked right from the word go putting pressure on the South Korean defense. Arijit Singh Hundal scored a beautiful hit inside the circle in the 8 th minute to give a 1-0 lead to the defending Champions. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh scored from a penalty corner in the 9 th minute to double the lead. At the end of the first quarter, the scores remained 2-0 in favor of India. South Korea produced a good chance in the second quarter, but the shot was well saved by Suraj Kakera. Korea earned a penalty corner which was overturned by a review by Harmanpreet Singh.  The young Indian team produced a spirited performance against a strong South Korean unit in the final Super 4 match played at GBK Stadium, Jakarta on Tuesday. It was an exciting start to the match as India earned the first penalty corner but was well saved by the Korean goalkeeper. South Korea also moved positive moves putting some pressure on the Indian defense. Nilam Sanjeep scored from a superb penalty corner in the 9 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead. South Korea increased the pace of play before Jang converted a penalty corner into a goal in the 13 th minute to level the score at 1-1. At the end of the first quarter, the scores remained at 1-1. The Indian team began the second quarter on a decent note as Pawan Rajbhar made a superb attempt, but the Korean goalkeeper made a magnificent save to deny India the lead.  The Indian women’s team continued their impressive run with a dominating 3-0 win over South Korea in the quarterfinals of the Junior Hockey World Cup 2022 played at NorthWest University, Potchefstroom on Friday. It was a cautious start by both teams with South Korea getting the first real chance, but the striker was not able to trap the shot. India earned a penalty corner. Mumtaz scores from a brilliant deflection goal-scoring her sixth goal of the tournament in the 11 th minute giving India a 1-0 lead. Right before the hooter, Lalrindki scores a brilliant field goal to double the tally. At the end of the first quarter, India led 2-0.
