India versus Australia 2nd T20I: India seal the series in an exciting encounter

  Thanks to a superb batting effort, the Indian Cricket Team beat Australia in the 2 nd T20I played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Sunday. Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to field first. Matthew Wade captaining instead of Finch put the pressure right from word go on the Indian team hitting 13 runs off the first over from Deepak Chahar. Wade was impressive against the spinners. On the other hand, Darcy Short-faced few balls. Natarajan got the breakthrough for India as a superb catch by Shreyas Iyer at deep midwicket ended the innings for Short. The Australian openers added 47 runs in quick time. Wade continued his aggressive approach making life tough for India.   Hardik Pandya dropped a tough chance to dismiss Wade at the boundary. Thanks to brilliant partnership between Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, Australia have ended the 1 st day of the 3 rd Test match in a commanding position played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Friday. Australian captain Tim Paine won the toss and decided to bat first. Tim Southee, Mitchell Santer, Kane Williamson did not feature in XI due to bug problem. Joe Burns and David Warner started off to a cautious note against the new ball. At the stroke of first drinks break, Colin de Grandhomme provided the breakthrough as he dismissed Joe Burns for 18. Burns and Warner added 39 runs for the opening wicket. Marnus Labuschagne came to the crease and continued his impressive run that he displayed in 2019. Warner played with positive intent putting pressure on the New Zealand bowlers. At lunch, Australia were 95 for 1. Thanks to Callum Ferguson captains knock, Sydney Thunder started the BBL season 9 on a resounding note by beating hosts Brisbane Heats by 29 runs played at Gabba, Brisbane on Tuesday. Sydney Thunder captain Ferguson won the flip and decided to bat first. Usman Khawaja looked in great touch with aggressive stroke play in the first 2 overs. Lalor got the breakthrough for Brisbane dismissing the dangerous Khawaja for 22 off 13 balls. Alex Hales and Matthew Gikes went in quick succession to leave Sydney Thunder in trouble at 38 for 3. At the end of first six overs, Sydney were 44 for 3. Ferguson and Alex Ross steadied the innings for Thunder taking singles and hitting occasional boundaries.
