Euro Cup 2020: Spain and Italy move into the semi-finals.
It was an amazing night of football as Spain and Italy moved into the semi-finals in the respective two matches played on Friday. Spain defeated Switzerland in the first quarterfinals played at St Petersburg. It was an ideal start for the Spanish team as Zakaria conceded an own goal in the 8 th minute. After the initial struggle, the Switzerland side put pressure on Spain's defense but was not able to convert into goals. Spain had more possession, but Ian Sommer produced some sensational saves denying Spain. At the end of the first half, Spain led 1-0. The second half saw some attacking football from both teams. Ian Sommer was the star of the show as he continued his sensational form. The experienced Shaqiri converted a brilliant goal to help Switzerland level the scores at 1-1 in the 68 th minute.
