Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2021: India registers first win with a resounding win over Bangladesh
After a thrilling 2-2 draw against South Korea, the Indian men’s hockey team produced a dominating display against Bangladesh to register their first win of Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2021 played at Maulana Bhasani Stadium, Dhaka on Wednesday. The Indian team put pressure on the Bangladeshi defense right from the word go. Despite doing circle penetrations, Manpreet Singh led side could not convert chances into goals. In the 12 th minute, Dilpreet scored a brilliant field goal to give India a 1-0 lead and ended the first quarter with a 1-0 scoreline. It was an aggressive start by the Indian team in the 2 nd quarter also but they could do justice with chances. Dilpreet doubled the lead for India with a superb field goal in the 22 nd minute.
