  The Indian Premier League 2021 was suspended due to bio-bubble breach with many players and support staff getting COVID. With 29 completed games, there was some gripping action as most of the matches saw an exciting battle going right down to the wire. In this year’s IPL, 3 batsmen scored centuries that made the audience enjoy the matches in their homes. It was an amazing performance by these batsmen who showed domination and helped them win matches with their superb batting display. Devdutt Paddikal creates history in Vijay Hazare Trophy

  The 20-year-old opening batsman, Devdutt Paddikal has been in sensational form during the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament. In the 2 nd quarterfinals against Kerala played at Palam A Air force Ground, New Delhi, Paddikal made a sensational 101 and put on a remarkable 249 runs for the opening wicket. His 101 off 119 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes along with a brilliant 192 by Ravi Samarth, quickfire 34 off 20 balls helped Karnataka post a massive total of 338 for 3 in 50 overs. In reply, Kerala could only manage only 258 in 43.4 overs as Karnataka won the match by 80 runs. Paddikal created a major impact in this year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy so far. Devudtt Paddikal became the 2 nd player to hit 4 centuries in Vijay Hazare Trophy history. The left-handed opener has shown tremendous consistency this season scoring 673 runs from 6 matches (6 innings) with 4 centuries and 2 half-centuries. Devdutt Paddikal- the rising star of IPL 2020

  Devdutt Paddikal had an amazing debut season for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020. After consistent performances in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year, RCB bought him last year. He did not get a chance to play in the XI and Virat Kohli's performance was not great as they finished last in the points table. Paddikal grabbed his opportunities with both hands as he got to open the innings for RCB in this year’s IPL. In the opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on 21 st September, the left-handed batsman showed his class and impressed with his stroke. He was dropped twice but remained calm to reach a half-century off 36 balls. It was an impressive beginning for Paddikal being dismissed for 56 off 42 balls with boundaries.
