Tom Curran all-round efforts helped Sydney Sixers defeat Sydney Thunder in a thrilling Super Over match played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Saturday. Sydney Thunder captain Callum Ferguson won the toss and decided to bat first. Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales played with positive intent with aggressive stroke play which made life tough for Sydney Sixers bowlers. Sean Abbott got the breakthrough dismissing Usman Khawaja for 16. Khawaja and Hales added 48 for opening wicket. At the end of six overs, Sydney Thunder were 50 for 1. After the power play over, Tom Curran dismissed the other opener Alex Hales for a quickfire 32 off 21 balls. After losing 2 quick wickets, Alex Ross and Sydney Thunder captain Callum Ferguson steadied the innings taking singles and hitting occasional boundaries.
