SA T20 2025 Eliminator: Defending Champions Stay Alive
The defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape Town stay alive with an impressive win over Johannesburg Super Kings in the eliminator played at SuperSport Park, Centurion on 5 th February 2025. JSK captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to field first. Tony de Zorzi and David Bedingham got off to a flying start putting CSK bowlers under immense pressure. Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana got the much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Zorzi. Zorzi and Bedingham put on 46 runs in 3.2 overs. Soon after, Bedingham also fell with a stunning catch by Faf du Plessis. At the end of the first six overs, Sunrisers Eastern Cape scored 55 for 2.
