  The backbone of the Indian bowling line up in limited-overs format, Jasprit Bumrah was at his best as proved his mettle by grabbing his 2 nd five-wicket haul in Test matches. He achieved this remarkable feat during the 4 th day of the 3 rd Test match against England played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on 22 nd August 2018. After losing the first two Test matches in the series, Virat Kohli led side came back strongly at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to field first on a tough wicket. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul started off brightly putting on 60 runs for the opening wicket. Rise of Jasprit Bumrah as a Test bowler for Team India

He made his first-class debut for Gujarat against Vidarbha in October during the 2013-14 season. In that season, Bumrah took 38 wickets from 8 matches and created havoc among opposition batsmen. Before entering the Test arena, Bumrah made his T20I and ODI debut during the 2016 tour of Australia. He was impressive with his pace and accuracy. It has been a remarkable journey for Jasprit Bumrah who has created havoc among the opposition batsmen in Test matches. He made his Test debut for Team India in the first Test match at Cape Town on the South African tour played from 5 th January 2018. He picked only 1 wicket in South Africa’s first innings giving away 73 runs in 19 overs. In the 2 nd innings, Bumrah improved his bowling by picking up 3 wickets for 39 runs and bought India back into the match. Despite his performance, India lost the match by 72 runs.
