Bangladesh Under 19 beat New Zealand by 6 wickets to reach their maiden finals
The Bangladesh Under 19 created history by reaching their maiden finals beating New Zealand by six wickets in the 2 nd Super League semi-finals played at JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom on Thursday. Bangladeshi captain Akbar Ali won the toss and decided to field on an overcast morning which assisted the bowlers. Shoriful Islam was brilliant with new ball with 2 consecutive maiden overs. Shamim Hossain got the breakthrough dismissing Rhys Mariu. Ollie White and Lellman struggled against the Bangladeshi bowlers. At the end of 10 overs, New Zealand were 26 for 1. After the power play overs, Ollie White tried to put pressure on the Bangladeshi bowlers. Rakibul Hasan dismissed White with a good catch by Akbar Ali. The Bangladeshi bowlers kept a tight lid not allowing Lellman and Lidstone to score runs easily.
