India versus New Zealand 1st T20I: Surya Kumar and Rohit Sharma knocks help India register win
Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team clinched a thrilling 5 wicket win in the first T20I played at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday. Indian newly appointed T20I captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for the hosts as Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled Darly Mitchell stumps without opening his account. Martin Guptill and Mark Chapman put the pressure back on the Indian inexperienced bowlers taking them for runs. At the end of the first six overs, New Zealand made 41 for 1. After the field restrictions, Guptill and Chapman made batting look easy keeping the scoreboard ticking. Both batters kept New Zealand on course for big total hitting boundaries at will.
