BWF World Tour Finals: PV Sindhu loses to Chen Yufei, crash out of the tournament
PV Sindhu lost her second successive Group A match against Chen Yufei of China in three sets by 22-20, 16-21, 12-21 to be knocked out of the tournament of the BWF World Tour finals played at Tinahe Gymnasium, Guangzhou on Thursday. With this loss, Sindhu failed to defend her title that she won in 2018. Sindhu had a disappointing start to the first game committing lot of errors and was trailing 17-20. The Indian saved three game points and levelled the score at 20-20. She held her nerves and took 2 more points to win the first game at 22-20. The second game was a closely fought encounter right from word go. The Chinese played aggressive badminton and from 12-11 lead, Chen took 4 points in succession. Again from 16-12 up, Chen did not allow the Indian to play her natural game and won the 2 nd game at 21-16 to force the game into the decider.
