  The fourth day of ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers saw Scotland start the tournament with a thrilling win over Ireland while Oman registered their second successive win against UAE. Scotland vs Ireland Scotland came back from nowhere to register a famous win over Ireland at Bulawayo Sports Club, Bulawayo on 21 June 2023. Scotland captain Richard Berrington won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for Scotland as McMullen struck twice in the same over dismissing Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie. McMullen got rid of Harry Tector to leave Ireland in trouble at 17 for 3.   Oman stunned favorites Ireland in Group B of ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers played at Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo on 19 June 2023. Oman captain Zeeshan Masqood won the toss and decided to field first. Andy McBrine and experienced Paul Stirling got off to a positive start keeping the scoreboard ticking putting pressure on Oman bowlers. Bilal Khan dismissed Paul Stirling caught by Aayan Khan. McBrine and Stirling added 51 runs for the opening wicket. Soon after, Fayyaz Butt dismissed the other opener, Andy McBrine. At the end of first 10 overs, Ireland made 51 for 2.  New Zealand became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals stage with a thumping win over Ireland played at Adelaide Oval on Friday.  Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie won the toss and decided to field first. It was a decent start for Ireland bowlers as they kept Conway and Finn Allen quiet. Allen took on Gareth Delany with 3 boundaries in an over. Allen then upped the ante with attacking strokes maintaining the pressure on Ireland bowlers. Adair struck dismissing dangerous Allen providing an easy catch to Hand at mid-off.  Ireland produced a dominating display as they defeated two-time Champion West Indies in a do-or-die situation played at Belivere Oval, Hobart on Thursday. West Indies captain Nicolas Pooran won the toss and decided to bat first. It was not an ideal start for the Windies side as they lost an early wicket of Kyle Mayers caught in Barry McCarthy’s first over caught by Tector at mid-on. Johnson Charles showed intent against Curtis Campher hitting him for 16 runs.  Zimbabwe began their 2022 ICC T20 World Cup on a winning note as they defeated Ireland easily in the 2 nd match of day 2 played at Believre Oval, Hobart on Monday. Ireland Andrew Balbirnie won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Joshua Little produced a peach to dismiss Regis Chakabva. Wesley Medherve showed intent with positive strokes putting Ireland's bowlers under pressure. The captain Craig Ervine struggled against the pace and bounce of the pitch.  The Indian Cricket Team survived a huge scare before defeating the spirited Ireland side in the 2 nd T20I match played at Malahide, Dublin on Tuesday. Ireland and India announced their squads for the two T20I matches to be played in Ireland on 26 th and 27 th June 2022.  Ireland registered their first-ever series win against a full member nation after defeating West Indies in the third and deciding ODI match played at Sabina Park, Jamaica on Sunday. Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie won the toss and decided to field first.  The international stage is set as 8 teams would take part in the ICC World T20 qualifying rounds starting from tomorrow onwards. There are four teams in each group including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other associate nations like Netherlands, Namibia, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea.  The Indian women’s team held their nerves to defeat Ireland women’s team in a do or die encounter played at the Oi Hockey Stadium, North Pitch on Thursday.
