 It was a sensational batting performance by Afghanistan as they posted 326 for 7 in 50 overs during a do or die match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on 26 th February 2025. Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and decided to bat first. Jofra Archer got two big wickets dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz taking an inside edge onto the stumps.  The Indian men’s hockey team took revenge as they defeated England in their final home match played at Kalinga Stadium, Bhuvneshwar on 25 th February 2025. It was a cautious start by both teams in the first quarter. The Indian team showed aggression but not able to convert chances into goals. Both played eagerly but could not convert the chances. At the end of the first quarter, the scores remained 0-0. Abhishek produced some brilliant stickwork going past three defenders, but Sukhjeet Singh could not convert it into a goal.
