All you need to know about the Women’s Cricket in CWG 2022
In a historic event, Women’s Cricket is making its debut in the Commonwealth Games 2022 to be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from 29 th July. It promises to be an exciting tournament with 8 nations taking part. There are 2 groups divided into 4 teams each. India, Australia, Pakistan, and Barbados have been clubbed in Group A while Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, and South Africa. India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Pakistan qualified due to ICC T20I women’s rankings while England qualified due to host nation. Sri Lanka made it into the CWG tournament winning the CWG qualifying tournament held from 18 th -24 th January 2022 played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Barbados made it from the West Indies region.
