Women’s Asia Cup 2024 2nd Semi-Finals: Sri Lanka Beat Pakistan In Thrilling Encounter
The Sri Lankan Women’s team registered a thrilling victory over Pakistan in the 2 nd Semi-finals of the Asia Cup 2024 played in Dambulla on 26 th July. Sri Lankan captain Chamari Atthaptu won the toss and decided to field first. Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali looked in positive touch keeping the scoreboard ticking with some shots not allowing Lankan bowlers to settle. Pakistan openers made batting look easy as they scored 45 runs at the end of the first six overs. Prabodhani got the breakthrough by dismissing Gull Feroza with a good catch by Fernando at deep midwicket. Feroza and Muneeba Ali added 61 runs for the opening wicket. She struck again in the same over to get rid of Muneeba Ali's shattering stumps. Pakistan captain Nida Dar looked in positive touch with some shots that kept the momentum going.
