  Karnataka defeated Vidarbha in a high-scoring thrilling final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024/25 played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 18 th January 2025. Vidarbha captain Karun Nair won the toss and decided to field first.   Vidarbha registered a dominating win over Maharashtra in the second semi-finals of the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 16 th January. Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and decided to field first. Yash Rathod began the first over with 3 boundaries against Rajneesh Gurbani. Dhruv Shorey and Yash Rathod looked confident keeping the pressure on Maharashtra bowlers. Rathod and Shorey scored 49 runs in the first 10 overs.   Karnataka produced a dominating performance in the first semi-finals against defending champions Haryana played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 15 th January 2025.   Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to field first. Himanshu Rana and Arsh Ranga got off to a steady start against Prasidh Krishna and Koushik. Abhilash Shetty struck in his first over by getting rid of Arsh Ranga with a catch to Paddikal.   Maharashtra stunned the hot favorites in the 3 rd quarterfinals of the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy match played at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 11 th January. Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma won the toss and decided to field first.   Karnataka defeated Baroda in a thrilling 4 th quarterfinals match played at Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara on 11 th January. Baroda captain Krunal Pandya won the toss and decided to field first. Devdutt Paddikal opened the innings for Karnataka along with captain Mayank Agarwal. Mayank Agarwal fell cheaply this time by Meriwala caught by Sheth. Agarwal and Paddikal added 30 runs for the opening wicket.   Paddikal showed intent right from the word go putting pressure on the Baroda bowlers along with Aneesh. Both Karnataka batters kept the momentum going for Karnataka hitting boundaries and sixes with ease. Paddikal reached his fifty off 51 balls to keep the Baroda bowlers on the backfoot.   The two finalists of the 2023-24 season of the Vijay Hazare, Haryana and Rajasthan entered the quarterfinals with wins over fancied Tamil Nadu and Bengal played at Vadodara on 9th January 2025. It was a great performance by the Rajasthan side as they defeated Tamil Nadu by 19 runs while Haryana registered a commanding win over Bengal. Haryana vs Bengal (Pre-Quarterfinals 1) Haryana registered a dominating 72 runs win over fancied Bengal in the first preliminary quarterfinals played at Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara. Bengal captain Sudip Gharami won the toss and decided to field first on a fresh pitch.   For Haryana, Nishant Sindhu was the top scorer with 64 while Parth Vats scored 62. Rahul Tewaita contributed 29 valuable runs while Sumit Kumar made an unbeaten 41 to help Haryana post 298 for 9 in 50 overs.
