  The 32-year-old Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth reached the finals of the Super 500 Malaysia Masters event played at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 24 th May 2025. Kidambi Srikanth and Yushi Tanaka were unseeded in this tournament. The first game began with Tanaka keeping the pressure on Srikanth with lovely smashes taking 4-1 lead initially. The Indian made a strong comeback showing glimpses of his old best with lovely attacking shots. At the mid-game break, Tanaka had a 11-8 lead.
