Day 2 round up of the ICC World T20 qualifier B

 The 2 nd day saw hosts Zimbabwe and the United States of America registering wins to confirm their places in the semi-finals. In another group, Netherlands won their 2 nd successive win while Papua New Guinea registered their first win. Group A Zimbabwe registered a comfortable win over Jersey in their 2 nd match played at Queens Park, Bulawayo on Tuesday. Jersey captain Charles Perchard won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for Jersey as they picked 3 quick wickets within the first six overs. Sean Williams looked in decent touch putting pressure on Jersey's bowling line-up. Williams and Raza added 52 runs for the 4 th wicket. Luke Jongwe played a brilliant cameo remaining not out on 29 off 13 deliveries to help Zimbabwe post 146 for 8. ICC World T20 Qualifiers: Bangladesh becomes 2nd team to qualify for the Super 12 stage

 Bangladesh became the 2 nd team to qualify for the Super 12 stage after a resounding win over debutants Papua New Guinea in an important match played at Al Amerat Stadium, Muscat on Thursday. Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah won the toss and decided to bat first. It was not an ideal start as Mohammad Naim flicked straight into the hands of Bau at deep midwicket. Shakib AL Hasan came to the crease and took a few balls to settle before putting pressure on the PNG bowlers. Liton Das showed intent in keeping the scoreboard ticking along with Shakib. At the end of the first six overs, Bangladesh scored 45 for 1. A superb diving catch by Bau ended the innings for Liton Das. Das and Shakib AL Hasan added 50 runs for the 2 nd wicket. ICC World T20 Qualifiers Match 1: Oman starts the tournament with a commanding win over PNG

 The hosts Oman started the ICC World T20 tournament with a resounding win over debutant Papua New Guinea played at Al Amerat Stadium, Muscat on Sunday. Oman captain Zeeshan Masqood won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start for the hosts as Bilal Khan got rid of Tony Ura taking the inside edge onto the stumps. Kaleemullah made it a brilliant start for Oman as he dismissed Lega Siaka, in the same manner, to leave debutant PNG in trouble. Charles Amini put some pressure on the Oman bowlers along with PNG captain Asaad Vala with a flurry of boundaries. Amini and Vala took the attack to Oman bowlers keeping the scoreboard ticking. At the end of the first six overs, PNG scored 40 for 2. Amini survived a close LBW shout given not out but on review, it was retained due to the umpire’s call.  History was created again as the Chandigarh born player; Jaskaran Malhotra of the United States of America became the 2 nd player in ODIs after Herschelle Gibbs to hit six sixes in an over. He created this feat during 2 nd One-day international against Papua New Guinea played at Al Amerat, Muscat on Thursday. PNG captain Asaad Vala won the toss and decided to field first. Jaskaran Malhotra wicket with the scoreboard reading 29 for 3. Malhotra started off cautiously taking singles and steadied the ship with Aaron Jones. After the initial struggle, Malhotra started to smash the PNG bowlers putting them under pressure. As things looking good for the USA, Aaron Jones was run out.
