Uber Cup 2021: Indian women’s team reach quarterfinals with a comfortable win over Scotland
The young Indian team showed proved their worth as they defeated Scotland with a comfortable margin in their second Group match played at Ceres Arena Court 3, Aarhus on Tuesday. Malvika Bansod had a disappointing outing against the experienced Kirsty Gilmour losing the game in two straight games. The young Indian player put some pressure on Gilmour, but the Scottish looked dominating right from the word go making life tough for Bansod. Scotland player won the game easily by 13-21, 9-21. Aditi Bhatt showed great range with a dominating performance against Racheal Sudgen. Bhatt proved too strong for Scottish player. Bhatt put the Scotland player under pressure with smashes and drop shots. Bhatt dominated Sudgen right from word go in the 2 nd game and won it easily by 21-14, 21-8 to help India level the tie at 1-1.
